I was a little hungry and tried to make a quick snack, but I ended up making my own corn tortillas.
I bought this heavy stone spice mill at a Thai store a long time ago. Mexican restaurants use simillar mills as bowls for making guacamole. So I do the same!

Florentines are one of my mom's specialties. Our family prefers the caramel part to be a little chewy, not completely hard. I don't know how many florentines I've had in my life. Now my mom is sending them to us - all the way from Japan to NY.
